Kaoshiung

Kaohsiung has been popular as a tourist destination in southern Taiwan. Hence it is also known as the  Harbor capital of country. Port of Kaohsiung is the most important business harbor of southern Taiwan and the biggest port of Taiwan, plays a key role of Kaohsiung tourism. Its year-round fine weather and the low cost of living make Kaohsiung a place to visit. Kaohsiung is home to several popular tourist sites, including the Love River, Shoushan (Mt. Shou), Xiziwan Bay, Lotus Pond, Cijin, and the Old City of Zuoying.

Ferry boat ride is an excellent addition to the tourism options offered by Kaohsiung Harbor. The ferry passes by the Banana Warehouse and Fisherman's Wharf where passengers can see the busy docks.

Kaoshiung has their traditional tricycle and I was curious about it, so I tried and that was really fun.

Facing the Cijin beach is the Cijin market. It is also a hit for many tourists to hunt down for fresh seafood products and dried products that are locally produced. 

Cijin Island, Kaohsiung is a small island just a 5 minute ferry (Cijin ferry) journey from Kaoshiung harbor. It’s a very exciting place to visit with lots to do and see. Cijin island is reputed to be the best place to eat fresh seafood in Kaohsiung. As well as the attractions and food, the island offers a nice clean beach where the sea is lovely and warm for swimming. Cijin island is place that you can spend a whole day. It’s also a place that you want to return to.

Be rewarded with a breathtaking view of Kaoshiung from the Cijin lighthouse which is worth the climb and refresh yourself with a cold drink while enjoying the sunset that ends off the day.

 

After a day of sightseeing around Kaoshiung, it's nice to relax at Grand Hi-Li Hotel for they provide utmost accommodations and relaxing facilities.
